Vauxhall Corsa Pop Art Idol

Vauxhall Corsa Pop Art Idol

Fun, smart, cheeky and iconic: Corsa and pop art share quite a few traits, so we wanted to show how Corsa puts the fun back into driving. Pretty soon, Pop Art Idol was born.

What Marvellous did

We launched Pop Art Idol, a competition for Vauxhall Corsa fans on Facebook and iPhone. Fans created pop art pictures from their photos, then uploaded their creations to the Pop Art Idol gallery to be rated by fans and visitors.

Fans could also get a sneak preview of the new Vauxhall Corsa ad, and even create and share their cut of the ad, featuring their own artwork.

Finding out about it

With over 21,000 fans and counting, the Vauxhall Corsa fan page was a great arena to share some fun with the brand’s brilliant following.

Fans and visitors shared and rated their Pop Art Idol art and advert clips, spreading the fun and buzz of the Corsa throughout Facebook.

Where's our target?

People loved Pop Art Idol. It generated over 6,000 unique participants, many of whom watched the Corsa ad and invited their friends to join in.

Glowing reviews on the Apple iPhone app site "highly recommended" and rated the Pop Art Idol app as "lots of fun", and as well as thousands of Corsa fans, we reckon Andy Warhol would've liked it too.
