Walk The Line with Grolsch

We love drinking Grolsch (we think Grolsch loves us too), but sometimes people love drinking a bit too much. Grolsch wanted to help younger drinkers to understand how to drink responsibly, but in a fun, un-preachy way.

What Marvellous did

To get people talking about the message "Enjoy Grolsch Responsibly" we created an iPhone app that friends could use together to see how responsible they really are.

Walk The Line was born.

The app measures how steady you are on your feet by asking you to walk in a straight line. While you walk your very own line, it records how steady you are and gives you a score out of 100 – any low-scorers are advised to have a glug of water to cool off.

Finding out about it

If you're at a festival in Holland over the summer, chances are you'll come across the Grolsch team. They'll be rounding up revellers and asking them to Walk The Line with the iPhone app. High scorers get a special festival photo as a reward!

If you're allergic to fun/music/goodtimes and you won't be at any Dutch festivals, you'll probably hear about Walk The Line on the online grapevine – via Twitter, technology/geek blogs and social networks, where we did some sneaky seeding.

Where’s our target?

The app goes live in the App Store in August '09 – so watch this space for results.
